A not for profit 501 (c) (3) Organization incorporated in the State of Florida with a Mission to:
- Empower parents and caregivers of children with autism to speak up and advocate to meet the needs of the children with autism.
- Provide educational opportunities for parents and caregivers of children with autism to learn and understand the rights granted under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and other such Statutes.
- Encourage parents and caregivers to fulfill their role as the voices of their children.
- Provide RESPITE for these families.
Our monthly Autism Support Group meeting will be held on Monday, May 21, 2012 from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM. The guest speaker will be Dr. Rose Iovannone, with USF Interdisciplinary Center for Evaluation and Intervention (ICEI). ICEI is a new program at USF that provides evaluation and intervention services to school-aged children who have complex social/emotional, behavioral, mental and learning difficulties.
All Autism Support Group meetings are opened to EVERYONE.

Parking:
Please park only in front of the CMS building and to the left (if facing the building) in the spots designated as "Patient Parking".
Child Care:
Child care will be available only for Autism Foundation of Tampa Bay Members with a reservation received no later than 05/16/2012 emailed to: info@autismfoundationoftampabay.org There will be no exceptions.
